Walking Route (Japanese name: 散歩ルート) helps you create walking routes and record walks. Developer contact: tsutsutsu441 (tsutsutsu591@gmail.com).
Data on your device
Your weight, stride length, walk dates, distances, paths, notes, copies of attached photos, and reusable planned routes are stored on your device. Weight and stride length are used to estimate calories and steps.
The app has no advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs and no separate account registration. It does not upload your walk records to a developer-operated server. Data may be included in device or operating system backups, depending on your settings.
Location and external services
Location is used to center the map at startup, select places, and record distance and paths during walks. When permission is granted, the app can record in the background and while the screen is locked. Pause stops recording, and Finish ends the walk. Location may still be obtained while paused to display your current position.
On iPhone, maps and place searches use Apple services. Route generation sends the requested area's coordinates, radius, or boundaries to Overpass API (overpass-api.de) to obtain road data. This area may be near your current or selected location. External services also receive network information such as your IP address. Each service handles data under its own policies.
Photos and sharing
Only photos you select are copied into your records. Exported GPX files and photos are passed to the sharing destination you choose. GPX files include locations, timestamps, and notes. Photos may include information from the original image. Data you share is handled by the chosen destination.
Purchases and support requests
Optional contributions are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. The app checks products and purchase status. The developer does not receive your credit card number.
Email addresses, messages, and attachments sent for support are used to respond and investigate issues. Please avoid including unnecessary location data or photos.
Deletion and permissions
You can delete a walk from its details screen or remove an attached photo from its preview. Original photos in your photo library are not deleted. Weight and stride length can be changed in the app's settings. Location permissions can be changed in your device settings.
Deleting the app removes its local app data. Exported files and backups must be managed separately.
This support website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare receives network information such as your IP address to deliver pages and provide security. We have not added our own analytics, advertising, or contact forms to this website. Contact links open your email app.

Mapbox
When switching to Mapbox, the coordinates of the start, finish and intermediate points are sent to the Mapbox Directions API. Mapbox also receives network information such as your IP address. Its processing is governed by the Mapbox privacy policy.
